In April of 2018, I started a project to honor those who contributed to the Bakersfield Sound in the early days. To keep it real, I reached out to veteran players who have made a mark in music history and was blown away by their acceptance to work with me. In the end, we were able to produce a recording that touches the heart, while still providing a historical background of early Bakersfield Country. Joining me in the project were the following artists: Eugene Moles, Rick Reno Stevens, Jimmy Phillips, Mario Carboni, Rick Russell, Zack Arnold, and Norm Hamlet. In addition, Marge Lewis provided her video skills (thank you honey), and Mario Carboni helped master the final mix. It was truly a labor of love.
